-Judge a book by its cover: What do you think this book will be about? Make a prediction. What can you tell about the characters? The setting? The plot?

-Flocabulary: Due tomorrow, quiz Thursday

-Check students completion of Flocabulary

-Correct Flocabulary

-9th grade: begin reading ATDPTI, do dream drawing activity sheet and journal

-10th grade: go over graphic novel reading sheet, then discuss Islamic Revolution article, go over Persepolis reading expectations, then begin reading!

-9th grade: finish dream drawing due Friday, read to p. 54 in Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian
