• Personification: Giving human qualities to something non-human.
– “And me, my hair is lazy.”
• Alliteration: Repeating similar consonant sounds within a phrase.
– She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
• Sensory Detail: Images and details that emphasize our senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch) to recreate a scene for the reader
